Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Ton Yr Ywen

On behalf of myself, governors, staff and children we would like to warmly welcome you to Ton Yr Ywen Primary School. We are based in the heart of the Heath area of Cardiff offering a caring environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued and safe, and has the chance to ‘flourish and achieve’.

Our school is a fantastic place to learn, play and work: set in extensive grounds where children’s learning is enhanced by hands-on, purposeful and meaningful indoor and outdoor learning experiences tailored to the needs and interests of the children. 

Our children have positive attitudes to all aspects of learning and participate eagerly with motivation and interest. All staff work hard to provide authentic and engaging learning experiences to ensure our pupils are ‘Happy Together, Learning for Life’.

At Ton Yr Ywen we aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the very best as they embark on their educational journey with us. We value working in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local community to achieve this goal.  

 The children are at the heart of our decisions, supported by a caring community that nurtures personal and academic growth. Ton Yr Ywen is a special place, which I commonly refer to as the ‘Ton Yr Ywen Family’, where our values:

Our website serves as a tool for providing the community of Ton Yr Ywen Primary School with all the key information they require. If you feel anything is missing please let us know. If you are new to our school, or have any questions, please contact the school office who will be happy to answer your queries and/ or arrange an appointment for you to talk with one of our staff, or to organise a visit where you can come and visit the school for yourself.
